Life sucks, but I have fun any way !
Hello. My name is Genka. Who ever you are, I am very happy to see you here. By now, you are probably wondering why and why I have such negative outlook on life. Well, the reason is very simple: because life does indeed suck. Why do I believe that life sucks? Because, most of the things, except occasional bright spots every now and then has proved to me that this is actually so. Sure I can go into a very long and detailed explanation and proof of the above (we are at war, our economy is a big mess, future outlook sacks, our relationships hardly ever works out and when chit hits the fan, most our friends are no more). By now, I've probably depressed you to the point of considering suicide.... Well, don't do it, because death sucks even worse than life. When you are dead, you are well, dead and nothing good can ever happen to you. At least while you are alive, you can enjoy your occasional bright moments and that is what this web site is all about.
Well, ten years ago I came from Odessa (part of Ukraine) to New York, where I have lived for six years. After a while, I moved to New Jersey (Edgewater), where I feel myself very comfortable. I love traveling, dancing, partying, camping, fishing and meeting new people. I always waned to get all my friends together and have cool, big loud party time. I think the awesome part of life is learning about yourself and others, doing right things and enjoy each day like it is your last, because it just might be...... So, I'd have to say for only being 29 years of age, I've been around. I've had my fair share of experiences, which unfortunately I can't say were all good experiences, however they made me who I am. Here is what I am and what I believe is true.
It is hard enough to change yourself, it is impossible to change others. Don't waste your time. If you love someone, then accept them for what they are- good and bad. I sometimes have trouble with this one. Yep, I'm a control freak too.
Having friends is not a contest. There are no extra award points for having the most amount of friends by fucking over the most amount of people. You don't get a free car for having over 1000 friends. If you have 3 good friends to carry your casket when you die, consider yourself a success.
Life is too important and short to bitch about the smallest things. Sometimes, it is important to speak to your mind.
Trust is earned, not handed out on a free basis. What you do for me reflects what I do for you. I also like doing things for people just because, but too often in life, I've been taken advantage of. Sadly, I trust very few people in life I learned this lesson a little late.
No matter how important things are to you, they are not always important to others. No matter how cool you think it is to go to Star Wars premieres dressed up as Darth Vader or Obi-Wan, I think you're just plain gay.
No matter how old you are, you never have to fully grow up. You're only as young as you let yourself be. So the next time some dumb bitch or some ignorant guy tells you to grow up, ask him/her to kindly shove it up their cakehole.
If you live your life regretting your actions, you'll never be truly happy. I regret nothing. I chose my actions, why bitch about them??
If you can tell your friends the weirdest, sickest things that go on in your brain without worrying about being placed in a mental institution or going to jail, then I applaud your friends and you.
Gossip is for the weak. If you have to talk about others behind their back to have a decent conversation, you're sad. You should really kiss my ass. Enough said.
School grade make no difference to me on how smart or how good of a person you are. They are only there to show that you did the work. Some of the smartest and greatest people I have known and probably will know have never graduated high school or gone to college. Yes, it does limit your options to asking questions like "Would you like fries with that?" for the rest of your life, but if that makes you happy, all the power to you.
There are no such things as bad people... only people doing bad things. I know there are obvious exceptions (i.e. Hitler). But I think for the majority it is true.
Family is the core of life, There are a few friends in your life that will always stand by your side, and trust me, you'll find them out in times of trouble. But family is always there. I guess Blood is thicker than Water. (How cliche!)
Sometimes that computer dork that you laugh at and make fun of has the coolest things to offer in life. Give him a chance.
